RICHWOOD CITY PARK
Richwood City Park has a picnic shelter with several tables and a charcoal park-style grill. It can be used for picnics and parties and is first come, first serve.The park also has a regulation little league baseball field, skate park, disc golf course, basketball court and city pool. There is a playground for children including swings.
Alcohol is prohibited.
There are no bathroom facilities.

PRATT PARK
Pratt Park is located within city limits and has a picnic shelter with several tables and a charcoal park-style grill. It can be used for picnics and parties and is first come, first serve. It also has two regulation fields for Richwood High School’s baseball and softball teams. The fields are surrounded by a walking track with 3 laps equalling a mile. There are several outdoor fitness machines that use body weight as resistance.
Alcohol is prohibited.
There are no bathroom facilities.

DAIN PARK
Dain Park is located within city limits and has a picnic shelter with several tables and a charcoal park-style grill. It can be used for picnics and parties. It also features an open field that can be used for recreational activities and a large playground for children.
Alcohol is prohibited.
There are no bathroom facilities.

north bend picnic area
The area sits just feet from the North Fork Cherry River roughly 8 miles from downtown Richwood and offers an area for family gatherings. Picnic tables and grills are dispersed throughout the wooded area.
Dogs are permitted if on a leash at all times, leash must be 6 ft. or shorter.
Trout fishing is available in the adjacent North Fork Cherry River. A valid West Virginia State Fishing License is required, along with a National Forest stamp, a Conservation stamp, and a trout stamp.
The site has two accessible vault toilets.
There is a footbridge that allows access to nearby trails that include:
• North Bend Trail, 2.4 miles in length
• Fork Mountain Trail #236, 20.9 miles in length. Fork Mountain Trail is accessed via North Bend Trail.
• Numerous backpacking opportunities exist along the Fork Mountain Trail which runs from just outside of Richwood to the Cranberry Mountain Nature Center intersecting several trails along the way.

Camping is available nearby at a single site across from the picnic area and at Summit Lake Campground above the picnic area.
Located on State Route 39/55 eight miles East of Richwood, West Virginia.

Located roughly 12 miles from downtown Richwood, this site has a newly built picnic shelter in the second (loading dock) parking lot, as well as a few picnic tables on the border of the first parking lot. There are no grills.
Dogs are permitted if on a leash at all times, leash must be 6 ft. or shorter.
The lake is an angler’s paradise, see the FISHING tab for information regarding fishing.

WOODBINE PICNIC AREA
Formerly a Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) Camp, this area on the Cranberry River is a popular picnic site for reunions and family gatherings. Featuring a vast open field that allows for plenty of room for sports and activities. Two large group picnic shelters are available and first come, first serve. Each shelter contains 6 picnic tables and large grills. Numerous picnic tables are dispersed throughout the picnic area with their own designated charcoal park-style grill. Water is available via hand pump.
Dogs are permitted if on a leash at all times. Leash must be 6 ft. or shorter.
Camping is prohibited in the picnic area.
The Cranberry River, adjacent to the picnic area, is a popular swimming spot. It is designated as a Class Q/handicapped and children's fishing area.

From Richwood, West Virginia, travel one mile east on State Route 39/55, then 4 1/2 miles north on Forest Road 76. Turn left onto Forest Road 752 and travel 1/2 mile. It is approximately 6 miles from Richwood.
CRANBERRY MOUNTAIN NATURE CENTER
There is a beautiful overlook on the grounds to sit and enjoy a picnic. This is a non-grill area. The Nature Center has full service indoor bathroom facilities as well as snake shows, merchandise and educational information.
